These past few months have been a crazy roller coaster. What I have realized is that I haven't given it all to Him. Him being our savior. You can't do this thing called life alone. You may think you're strong enough, but you will be shoved to the ground and feel utterly exhausted. You need Him to guide you, to help you, to lead you to where you need to be. I'm learning this just like some of you are too.
It's hard for me to give up total control of my life. After years of me learning how to gain control back, I need to re-teach myself on how to lay my life out and hand it to our Lord.
To surrender means to give everything up to the Lord. Lay it all down. Lose the right over yourself, both the "bad" self and the "good" self. Surrender means to lose your right to handle yourself on your own. In the middle of everything, lose and forfeit your rights to the Lord. Do not move. Freeze right where you are. Do not do anything. Surrender yourself just the way you are. By all means, do not fix yourself. Do not try in yourself to get it together. If you get it together, that means you are the Savior. Do not try to work what is dead back up into life, like trying to massage a heart that has stopped beating. You cannot squeeze life out of the region of death inside you. Life must come from the outside. We must let Christ inject life into our dead condition. We must receive the life. We must allow resurrection life to give life to our mortal bodies.
Surrendering is not a once-and-for-all experience. It is continuous, day by day. when we are struggling to live, to keep pushing, that means it is time to fellowship with the Lord. It means to be more open with Him. Let Him in your life. Interact more with Him in Spirit. Our soul only exists for Christ, to contain him, to be filled with Him. Surrender means coming to Christ just as you are.
Stop right where you are, and let The Lord have it all. Give up and turn everything over to Him.
We are just an organization. But the church is Christ alive in us. And that is why, through experience, only one thing is necessary, and that is to give Him first place. Let Him be the one who is doing everything. Let Him unravel the Knots in your life. Don't be afraid to put your life in the right hands. The ONLY hands who can fix anything and everything.
We need resurrection. Just call the name "Jesus." You will get His person. When we call "Jesus," He gets into our mind, He gets into our emotion, and He gets into our will and transmits Himself. What can we say but Hallelujah! What a Christ! Do not go anywhere else. There is no other humanity. Even the best perfected humanity will never make it.
How could you say no to that? To The perfect Savior? Let Him take over and guide you to where you need to be.
The church is true. This is what happens When we are connected to our Savior. We stand up, we testify, we sing, we are beside ourselves. We are filled. sing praise to our Lord, Share His life, His love with those around you.
on the last days I will be judged, as so will you. and on that day I will know that I surrendered myself to our Lord and Confessed to the world that His church is true. The Book of Mormon is true. The Bible is true. His Church, This church, is undeniably true.
Take a leap of faith. Put our Lord First in everything that you do. and i promise you will be changed. You will be happier. You will become closer to the savior. surrender yourself and become new.
"Faith cometh not by signs, but signs follow those that believe." (Doctrine and Covenants 63:9)
Go Here To learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I promise you wont regret it.
unexpected changes can take you by surprise.
Last year I made the decision to serve a mission. I started studying like crazy and learning more about the church, figuring out dates and making appointments to finish my mission papers.
But our Lovely Lord decided something different.
I'm not going to be serving a mission. yet.
A lot of prayer went in to the decision. A lot of "whys" and " are you sure"
But I know this is the right choice for me.
I don't think I'm quite ready to serve a mission. I have decided to go back to school and get my career started. 18 months is a long time, and in those 18 months I would be serving our Lord 24/7 but why cant I do that here while working on my career?
oh wait! I can! and I will! The gospel is an amazing thing and you don't need to be labeled as a missionary to do your Lords work. I realized that a mission can and will happen. whether its this year, next year, or even when I'm married and I go with my husband. either way I'm ecstatic. I know while I'm working on my career I can also work in serving our lord as well. We have to remember every member a missionary.

Every member is a missionary. We have the responsibility of bringing
somebody: a mother, a father, a neighbor, a fellow worker, an associate,
somebody in touch with the messengers of the gospel. If every member will carry
that responsibility and if the arrangement to have that mother or that father or
somebody meet the authorized representatives of the Church, no power on earth
can stop this church from growing. And personal contact is what will influence
those investigators. That personal contact, the nature of it, its effect depends
upon you. And that’s one thing that I wish to emphasize. There’s one
responsibility which no man can evade, that’s the responsibility of personal
influence. … It’s what you are, not what you pretend to be that will bring
people to investigate.
Every member of the Church should be a missionary. we're not
authorized to go from house to house, but we are authorized, by virtue of our
membership, to set a proper example as a good neighbor. Neighbors are watching
us. Neighbors are watching your children. You are a light, and it is our duty not
to have that light hidden under a bushel, but it should be set up on a hill that
all men may be guided thereby.
I am Convinced that missionary work is not east because salvation is not a cheap experience. Salvation never was easy. We are the Church of Jesus Christ, this is the truth. and He is our Great Eternal Father. How could we believe it would be easy for us when it was never easy for Him?
Use what you know for good. Share the gospel whenever you can. Share the teachings of our Heavenly Father to bring people closer to Him. Talk to the less actives in your ward. invite them to come back to church. Its hard to come out of you comfort zone, but if its to help others come unto our Lord, it shouldn't really matter now should it? Think about the stories of or savior and how everyday He would help others He just met, and help them find truth.
He wasn't selfish. He was constantly reaching out. He was always inviting and focusing on others. No one can name a time where he focused on himself and his own pains or issues. when reading the story of the atonement and how He went through such agony and absolute pain and horror I wonder how, as He was hanging from the cross, He was able to still take a moment and make sure his mother was going to be looked after, be able to tell the two thieves he was hanging between that they would join him in heaven and pray to the Father to forgive the people who were doing this to him because they " Know not what they do" Every part of the saviors life had to do with others! His entire purpose was to change others for the better.
Take a minute and pray. ask for a chance this week, this month, to Help share the gospel with someone who needs to hear it.
I promise a chance will arise and present itself. you just have to have open eyes and take advantage of every chance you see and go for it. Share His love with others.
Pray always. Find the truth. Find Jesus.
